Our goal: We are looking for a means
by which we can provide quality control for each of the articles placed on the
website. We want only that which is relevant and helpful from a spiritual as
well as practical point of view, and we want to make sure that there is only
content which is congruent with the principles of the Gospel. In addition,
there should be very little redundancy or overlap of information.
The reviewer judges the
merit of each resource and “grade” the resource, assigning from 0 (meaning
don’t use it) to 3 stars (meaning that the article is excellent) depending
upon their sense of value of the article to the reader. A resource maybe
a book, an article, or a website. Several qualities, as illustrated by the
following questions, will help the reviewer decide upon the value of the
piece:
-
Does the article contain enough useful content that you believe the
reader would understand the topic better?
-
Does the article contain enough useful and specific content that you
believe the reader would come away with some helpful suggestions to
implement?
-
Does the article assist the reader in drawing nearer to Christ to help
him or her solve the problem?
-
Does the article contain evidence of validity from a scientific point of
view?
-
Does the article contain evidence of validity because the author has
appropriate authority (religious or scientific) to make their claims?
